2016 WOW Summit!

Last year, I had the pleasure of attending the Moms Meet WOW Summit here in San Diego.  The event was so much fun that I actually posted TWO blogs about it!  Here are the links so you can relive the fun: WOW Summit Review – Part 1  WOW Summit Review – Part 2

Sadly, this year I am unable to attend since the event will be held in National Harbor, MD and my tiny humans denied my request to travel across the country.  But that doesn’t mean that YOU can’t go! So I’m here to give you the deets on the event and share some of the awesome reasons why you should attend this year!

So, what is the Moms Meet WOW Summit?  Well, it’s a two-day annual event that gives health-minded moms and bloggers the opportunity to network and learn from like-minded women and experts in the health and wellness fields.  The first day is all about the bloggers!  It’s a special opportunity for mom bloggers to learn from experienced writers as well as network with other bloggers and brands.  There is also a cocktail party and comedy hour following the event!  How rad is that?!

The second day is even more fun because you get to listen to awesome speakers, breakout into informative workshops and sample tons (seriously, tons) of awesome products.  Each attendee also receives a fully-packed SWAG BAG!!  So much swag!  Just to give you a better idea of how amazing this event is, checkout the video below with some sweet highlights!

WOW Summit 2015 Highlights

And there will be even more generous sponsors this year-

Solgar

National Geographic Kids

Tasty Bite

Mary’s Gone Crackers

And so many more!  Like, I’m seriously getting a major case of FOMO over here!

So since I can’t attend this year, I’m going to mentally bask in all of the swag that I scored last year.  And in case you forgot about the massive haul I scored, here is a little reminder:

Yep, that could be you…rolling in the swag dough.  So, if you or your friends will be in the D.C.area on October 7th and 8th, I highly recommend this fun conference.  It’s not only a great way to connect with other moms and bloggers, but an opportunity to learn about health, wellness and green living all from experts and great companies!  I recommend running, not walking, to register for this event because it will sell out!  Get your VIP tickets so you can score even MORE SWAG!  You seriously won’t want to miss out!

Register HERE!

And just for being one of my rad swag readers, you can use the code “SWAG15” to save 15% on your tickets!  So go register, have a blast and take pics for me!

See you at the next swag event!

Green Moms Meet – WOW Summit Part 2

I hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween and got lots of candy swag! 😉  Now for part 2 of the WOW Summit that I attended last weekend.  Once we returned from the break and visiting all of the wonderful vendors, we met back in the ballroom to listen to Drs. Greenspan and Deardorff speak about environmental issues regarding puberty.  They were very informative and gave out copies of their new book, “The New Puberty” to a few lucky attendees! Check out their new book here!

Next, we split up into groups and attended various workshops.  The first one I attended was called, “Rid, Restock and Reorganize: Simple Ways to Detox Your Home” by Wendy Bazilian, DrPH, MA, RD.  You may have seen her on various talk shows such as “LIVE with Kelly and Michael” and she also has a new book out called, “Eat Clean, Stay Lean’. She gave us a lot of great tips about how to replace junk in our fridges and pantries with healthier options!  Check her out!

The next workshop I attended was basically a nutrition and fitness class presented by someone from Smart Flour Foods and personal trainer Jill Anenberg.  She had lots of energy and great information!  Follow her on YouTube and Instagram!

After the workshops we went back to the ballroom to hear one last speaker and wait for the raffle giveaways!  Sadly, I did not win anything but that’s okay because I had so much fun and scored tons of swag!  So the last person to speak was Kimberly Blaine a.k.a. The Go To Mom and she discussed ways for moms to have more awareness in the moment.  She was super inspirational and she had a sense of calmness about her that was quite reassuring.  She reminded us that we need to give and take love in order to better ourselves. It was a perfect ending to the day! And check out The Go To Mom on Twitter and Instagram.

Then we waited in this long line for our amazing swag bags….

But that’s okay, it was totally worth it! 😉

Now, for what you all have been waiting for…the SWAG!

Yes, it was that much!!  And all of the vendors were super friendly and generous.  I also got a lot of coupons for free items that I can’t wait to cash in on!  I’m not going to list everything out on this one because it would be overwhelming. But, you can check out my Instagram where I tagged most of the brands!  This was a fabulous experience and if you get the chance to attend one of these events, definitely jump all over it!  You will meet lots of great people and have the opportunity to try out different healthy brands!  Thanks again Green Moms Meet and Kiwi Magazine!

Green Moms Meet WOW Summit 2015 Part 1/Instagram

This past week I attended the Green Moms Meet WOW Summit here in sunny San Diego.  And let me just say, WOW was definitely the right word to use for this event.  It was a Swag Mama’s heaven to say the least.  There was so. much. swag. I was swimming in it by the end of the day.  It was an all day event that included presentations from various speakers in a large room followed by smaller workshops in the afternoon.  There was an exhibitor hall that housed all of the swag and each vendor offered samples and snacks.  The lobby area was filled with unlimited coffee and water, activity tables, and a raffle ticket area.  Kids were welcome, but it really was an event for moms to connect and learn more about green and healthy living.  Because this was such a huge event, I am breaking this post up into parts!

sum18 sum16 VIP just meant that I got more swag. 🙂

This event was sponsored by Kiwi Magazine and the founder, Maxine Wolf even said a few words!

The next speaker was Jillian Darlington, who is the founder of the MomCO app.  She is pretty rad and if you are looking for some new mom connections, go ahead and download the app.  Use my code when registering! K3GYX7UXFO

Next up was celebrity chef, Ann Cooper from the Chef Ann Foundation.  She is pretty dope because she has a mission to bring healthy and real foods into school cafeterias all around the country.  Check out her #realschoolfood initiative so that you can take part in this important cause!

Then it was break time and off to check out all of the exhibitors in the exhibitor hall!

sum12 sum17

sum20 sum19 One of the activities was to create a trophy that your child would give.  Mine would probably give me a “Silliest Singer” trophy. 🙂

Now, for some SWAG!

sum9 There was tons of SWAG at this event so I’m just going to start off with the MomCo swag.

-Insulated bag – I LOVE this!  I love tote bags of all sorts, but an insulated one is a pretty sweet bonus!

– Tumbler cup with a straw

-Water bottle – I already carry this little gem everywhere I go

Check back for Part 2 where I will post even more SWAG!  You can also now follow me on Instagram! @theswagmama
